Which lineman programs are open?

How each of the nine programs takes lineman applications, and what its own page said when we checked. Windows change without notice, so always confirm on the official page before you plan around a date.

Get ready before a window opens

The windows that do open move fast. Mo Valley opens at 8 a.m. on its open date and closes at 4 p.m. on its close date; Cal-Nev’s last window ran 10 days; NEAT stops at 30 applications per area per month. Have these ready now, because they take weeks, not hours:

  • A Class A CDL (ALBAT says it accepts a permit). Which programs take what.
  • A DOT medical card, your high school transcript or GED, and proof of an algebra credit if your program asks for it.
  • For NW Line: in-person First Aid/CPR and a state flagging card.
  • Practice for the aptitude test. ETA makes you wait 90 days to retake (programs can set their own rules).
