Eversource / CT State lineworker program
UnconfirmedEEI CAST + agility test + interview
CT State’s lineworker certificate program, run with Eversource, says “The CAST test is required for admittance to the program.” That is the training program’s entry rule; Eversource’s own apprentice hiring page doesn’t state it.

TVA
UnconfirmedETA aptitude test (reported)
Reported to require the electrical training ALLIANCE aptitude test, which TVA’s page reportedly calls “formerly known as the AIR test.” We couldn’t open TVA’s page to confirm.
PECO / ComEd (Exelon)
UnconfirmedCAST available
Exelon lists CAST among its available tests and hosts EEI practice, but doesn’t say which line jobs require it.
Not on the list?
Georgia Power, Xcel, Entergy, NextEra, DTE and CenterPoint have job postings that mention CAST, but we couldn’t read a live official page for any of them, so we don’t list them as confirmed. Electric co-ops generally don’t publish a written test: they hire from line schools, require a CDL and interview. Line contractors generally don’t either. Check the job posting itself; it usually names the test.
